Gods

After the patch on April 11, placeholder skill icons and artwork for Fenrir have been added, and he was confirmed to be the next character by HiRez's stream on April 26. Furthermore, a skill description for Isis have been added with the patch of April 17.

There also are mentions of the Korean character Jumong within the files, who seems to utilize a bow, a deployable quiver and some sort of fan attack. That character has been in the files since the end of 2012, and has yet to be expanded upon.

Additionally, in summer 2012, several character models have been found. 3 of those characters had been following releases (Bakasura, Guan Yu and Freya), while the remaining 2 characters have yet to be released. These two characters are Fenrir and Yen-Lo-Wang.

Among the character skill and item icon files, there is a generic P-icon, which also was used as Hel's former Passive icon.

It appears on several occasions, and always has a God name tagged along with it. In summer 2012, a whole list of different gods had been found, several of which have been released since then:

  • Dionysus has been transformed into Bacchus. Some of Bacchus' textures file names are tagged with Dionysus instead of Bacchus, hinting at Dionysus being changed into Bacchus during the development.
  • Chamunda seems to also have been scrapped as a unique character, as Kali's Convention 2013 skin is referred to as "Chamunda" in the file names. Both Kali and Chamunda are very similar character concepts, share the domains of anger and destruction, and both are even aspects of the same umbrella deity (Devi).

Skins

Many skins have been found to be worked on, and one of those skins have had their models removed from the game. These skins are:

  • Arachne - Cryptwalker
  • Bastet - Shadow Bastet
  • Hel - "Skin2"
  • Kali - Cheerleader (has been removed from the game)
  • Sun Wukong - Ancestor
  • Several re-colors for almost all gods, some of which are entirely golden

You can see all the skins on the respective god pages, except for the unreleased re-colors.

Items

Portal has been worked on since as early as the patch introducing Ares, so much so that the skill has received a new icon in the mean time.

Several Active Abilities have been removed from the game, which are:

Some items have been tested in the Play Test Server project in late 2012/early 2013, which include Dementor's Doll, Heaven's Wrath and Tribal Ward.

There also has been a scrapped Active Ability, which was some sort of Healing Debuff.

Finally, there is a plethora of unused item icons, some of which represent different levels of the respective item. Those upgraded ranks are not in this table, unless the icon is entirely different.

Gameplay Mechanics

In the original iteration of the game, there also were some additional buff camps other than the current set-up. Aside from Fire Giant, Gold Fury, as well as Damage, Mana, Speed and Cooldown Reduction buffs, there also were a Defense buff and a Health buff.

The Focus system was a gameplay mechanic that was implemented as a test in late 2012, but was scrapped several patches later. Focus intended to bring Crowd Control (CC) into a stat like damage or defense - with higher Focus, CC effects would last longer or be stronger.

During the test phase with Focus, the game also introduced a stat purchase system, in which you could use Gold in order to buy stats directly, alongside also being able to purchase items.
